Improved load frequency control performance by tuning parameters of PID controller and BESS using Bat algorithm

چکیده

The oscillation of frequency can cause the generator to run out sync in a power system. Therefore, load control (LFC) is needed reduce and prevent operation. LFC regulates governor balance turbine speed with changes existing. In this paper, proportional integral differential (PID) controller battery energy storage system (BESS) are added an improve stability parameters PID BESS optimized using Bat algorithm (BA) attain good coordination. performance analysis done by introducing disturbance form power. simulation results show that deviation BESS, has faster settling time smaller overshoot value. performs better than those only or BESS. conclusion, BA be used find optimal parameter values for synchronized coordination LFC.
